Well, it's not as hard as it may seem because the most frequent risk factors in almost all types of cancer are smoking and heavy drinking. They weaken the body and favourize the cancer cells to appear and develop in the tissue. But there are certain types of cancer that appear only in the case of women (like cervical cancer or ovarian cancer) and some other types of cancer that appear mostly in women like breast cancer. But whatever the type of cancer there are still some measures you can take if not to prevent the cancer totally, at least to reduce the risk factors.

Well, there is no such a cancer detection guide, prevention and treatment for women, but it certainly should. First of all the area is too wide and then there is common sense knowledge and information. Any way every type of cancer has its particular methods of lowering the risk, that is preventing it. The breast cancer can't be prevented but it can be detected really early if you have an yearly mammogram and regularly self examinations of the breast. Then cervical cancer can be prevented if you take all precautions not to get infected with HPV, as it seems to be the major cause for this type of cancer.

You can do this by having protected sexual intercourse, having only one constant partner. This cancer can be easily detected if you have yearly Pap smear. For example a part of the skin cancer, the melanoma, can be avoided if you wear hats and sun blocking cream. As for the other types of cancer, keep your eyes open and be very receptive to all the small details that can tell you something is wrong.
As for the cancer treatment, it depends greatly on the type of cancer and also the stage in which it is detected. Most of the times the treatment consists mainly in surgery to remove the tumour, followed by chemotherapy and radio therapy, the systemic treatments that are used when the cancer has started to spread around. Then you can also use hormone therapy, but only in the case of breast cancer and only you can find some estrogen and testosteron receptors in the tumor. Photon or proton beam treatment is another type of radiation therapy, but it works just fine, too.
So I guess you'd better be alert and attentive , especially if you are a woman.
