Breast Cancer Diet
It has already been established that vegetables and fruits can help you protect yourself against cancer, and they can make up a so-called breast cancer diet. There is also further proof based on which it can be demonstrated that another group of foods can be included in a “breast cancer diet” and help equip the body with weapons to fight cancer.

Here are three foods that can help fight against this illness.

1. Leguminous plants - The fibers contained by leguminous plants and by foods made out of whole wheat help us remove estrogen from the body. Too much estrogen produced by our own hormones and substances similar to hormones contained in various products (medicine, beverages) could proliferate the cell division in the breast tissue.

Research has shown that an exaggerated cell division could lead to the occurrence of breast cancer. The fiber helps us keep breast cancer in check because it helps remove estrogen from the body and prevents the absorption of estrogen in the intestines, all this leading to a decrease in cell division. Flax seeds are a very good source of fiber, and they are known for the protection they offer against breast cancer through the normalization of estrogen levels and the reduction of tumor growth in advanced stages.

A fiber-rich diet can also help us maintain our internal organs healthy. This is happening because soluble fibers have created the "friendly bacteria" we need to fight against damaging bacteria – which means that your body will be less exposed to dangerous toxins that can cause cancer.

2. Fat fish - Any self-respecting breast cancer diet contains fat fish, such as mackerel, sardines, trout and salmon, which are known to decrease the action range of breast cancer. Research has shown that Eskimos who eat a lot of fat fish are less exposed to cancer. This is due to the contents of omega-3 fats. In any case, experts differ on the occurrence of cancer in Eskimos. It seems that the risk of breast cancer is low by the risk of stomach cancer is high.

The latest research has shown that these omega-3 fats can prevent or slow down cancer tumors and they can also strengthen the immune system. This is happening because omega-3 rivals with omega-6 fats (which can be found in cooking oil and which encourage cell division) and keeps cell development in check. It seems omega-3 has the ability to stop the growth of cells and prevents their division (which division could lead to the development of cancer cells).

3. Dairy products - Combined linoleic acids can be found in milk and all other dairy products. A study performed by the "Nutrition and Cancer" magazine has compared the consumption of dairy products and blood linoleic acid levels of a group of women with breast cancer, with that of a group of women who were not suffering from this illness. These researches have shown that the low risk of breast cancer occurrence is associated with the high level of compound linoleic acids in the blood and with the consumption of dairy products. It seems dairy products play a very important role in decreasing the risk of breast cancer.
